Tabitha Johnson aka "Lady Phoenix"
Tabitha Johnson is a native to Frankfort, Kentucky and has roughly 24 years of experience in Dance, Cheerleading, and Gymnastics and has been working as a Dance Instructor/Choreographer since she was 14 years old. During her earlier years, she studied Ballet, Tap, and Jazz at Capital City Dance Studio (Frankfort, Kentucky) for 7 years. She performed/competed for Champions All-Stars (Lawrenceburg, Kentucky) Dance and Cheer Squads, and received National and Grand Championships on several occasions - NDA, NCA, Jamfest, Cheersport, etc. During her 7 years on the Champions Dance Team, she was awarded "Dancer of the Year" on 3 different occasions (2002, 2003, & 2007). She competed as a Solo Hip Hop Dancer and was awarded Kentucky State Grand Champion 2006 and 2007.
Tabitha moved to San Diego, California in 2008 and studied extensively at Culture Shock Dance Center, her main focus on Hip Hop and BBoy/BGirl-ing (breakdancing). During her stay in California she was a member of a Dance Company called Kruciaal Element. While a member of their Semi-Professional crew, KE performed all over Southern California and did music videos for local artists and received additional training from America's Best Dance Crew competitor's such as the Beat Freaks and Kaba Modern.
Tabitha's passion for Dance also was partnered with a love for Health and Fitness. She attended The National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) in San Diego, California and is now an Advanced Certified Personal Trainer (A-CPT) and Certified Nutrition Consultant (CNC).
Tabitha moved back to Kentucky in 2010 to develop her dream to fuse Dance and Fitness and open Freestyle Fitness. Tabitha is using her training in Dance and Fitness to train young dancers and focus their energy and passion to create healthy, talented athletes. She is also utilizing her training to create, fun, and exciting exercise programs for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
You may also know Tabitha as "Lady Phoenix" performing with The Va Va Vixens, Louisville's #1 Best Performing Arts Group (2015). She joined the burlesque variety troupe in 2013 and has been enjoying choreographing, performing, writing, and even sewing with the amazing team.

Stan Marshall aka "Gafanhoto"
Gafanhoto has over 25 years Martial Arts Experience. Assistant Instructor under Sifu Scott Elliott of AFS Academy of Martial Arts and Fitness. Affiliated with the Danny Inasanto in California. Disciplines Muay Thai (Arjarn Chai) CSW (Erick Paulson) BJJ (Gracias and Machados) All Filipinos Martial Arts (Kali, Escrima, Arnis, siyak) Silate, WingChun, JeetKune Do and more. Started training Capoeira in 1996 under Sifu Scott under Mestre Cobra Mansa in DC. Fellow Capoeirasta and brother Reco-Reco became instructor once Sifu passed it to us. Joined Bantu Beira Mar in 2007 under Perna De Pau with Contra Mestre Bundo until present. Head of Louisville Beira Mar and Head of all Kentucky Groups(Lexington, Richmond).
Megan McIntire aka "Romana Bereneth"
A professional belly dancer and founding member of Real Live Actual Belly Dancers in Louisville, KY. She has performed at local and regional shows such as University of Louisville's International Banquet and the Worldfest shows in Louisville and at University of Cincinnati. She regularly hosts informal shows and haflas in Louisville with her troupe. Romana currently teaches at Freestyle Fitness and the Hula and Tahitian School in Louisville.
Romana has over a hundred hours in workshops with dancers such as Rachel Brice, Dalia Carella, Zoe Jakes, and A'isha Azar. She recently passed phase 2 of Rachel Brice's 8 Elements Belly Dance Approach.
Romana performs once a month at Eat a Pita on Bardstown road.
Pole and Chair
Rikki was the owner of Defiance Studios, Lexington's first alternative fitness studio, where she taught pole fitness, aerial arts, and more. From a young age she was always climbing on and hanging from anything she could but never pursued dance or athletics.
Rikki became interested in pole over a decade ago and began cross-training in aerial arts and other forms of alternative dance fitness in 2012. She has trained with many championship winning pole stars and has trained multiple award winning pole and lyra performers.
Rikki has been certified in:
- Pole Dance and Fitness through Discoveries Pole Dance
- Hoop Dance and Fitness through Hoopnotica
- CPR, First Aid, and Sports Injury Prevention through American Red Cross
In addition to sharing her passion with others, she began working as a performing artist in February 2013 under the name Pixie Pistola. She is a member of Vaudeville Louisville, Cy-Fi's Black Hearts, the Kentucky Burlesque Society, and is the head of aerials and acrobatics for the Vagabond Artists Collective.
